The Porsche Macan is an interesting concept to me- a downsized Cayenne positioned as a volume seller to support their less profitable enterprises. And until this point, that’s all I thought it was. Just a moneymaker with no soul to keep the lights on. However, despite its deviation from Porsche’s typical, driver oriented design philosophy, they are becoming more and more appealing to me. In the same segment and not too far from the price of a loaded Lincoln MKC, it is infinitely better equipped, higher performing, generally much more car for the money. Plus, it looks pretty bitchin’, way better than any number of crossovers or wagons. Anyone with me? It seems that Porsche’s larger cars get a pretty bad rap around here.
You can go with this
Or you can go with that
. . .Given the funds of course.

I would go with the Lincoln. I love the cars looks and I bet it has better resale value

I’m just waiting on Jag to get in game. Street focused Rovers with F type drivetrain, yes please.

Or maybe just an F-Type R Coupe AWD with more ride height?

Nah, I need the back seats for my bitches. Gypsy and Danger like to have room to lay out.

Macan all day long between these two. It drives so much better and demands attention. It’s actually amazing how Porsche has gotten some of the Porsche DNA into the driving dynamics of even their volume sellers (SUVs)

I can’t tell if they’re the names of dogs or strippers. What an age we live in.

True story. A brown Macan S parked next to my car the other day. I was intrigued.

For some reason they look so wrong and so right at speed.

You got it! I found out that Jeremy Jahns also named his dogs Gypsy and Danger too.
